From Monterey we rode Highway 1
south as far as Cambria, through the famous area known as Big Sur. It
was astonishingly beautiful and it was also fun to meet other cyclists
who were also travelling long distances by bike. All along Highway 1
were specially designated camp grounds for hikers and bikers. The ride
was pleasant and we would do it again if we had a chance.
